A little bit about me
Since returning to Ireland in the late 90’s I have worked in the areas of psychotherapy, spirituality and personal development with individuals and groups. I trust in the power of compassion to bring about transformation and growth in each of our lives. The experience of compassion often involves a journey into difficult places within and between people. These are often the places in which we discover new heart for ourselves and for others. Some people describe this as the journey from the head to the heart. Being with people on this journey has been a great privilege. I offer a safe space that believes no matter where we come from or who we are or what we’re struggling with we can all benefit at times from the support and enabling presence of another.
I have been involved in the training of spiritual directors at various centres throughout Ireland and the UK for the past 14 years. Presently I conduct the Spiritual Accompaniment module on the Masters in Applied Christian Spirituality at All Hallows College, Dublin with Rosemary O’Connor IBVM. The plan is to begin a new Heart Network two-year training programme at Ennismore in Cork starting October 2013.
I hold Masters degrees in psychotherapy and supervisory practice and work as an accredited psychotherapist, supervisor, spiritual director, trainer and facilitator. Being a member of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart has helped me provide reflective facilitation to leadership teams over recent years. I moved to Dublin August 2012 and am setting up a new practice in Blackrock. Contact me if you are interested in and would like to explore further any of the following services:
- spiritual accompaniment
- individual or group supervision
